Instant-Issue FAQ

Instant Issue allows eligible existing WCB customers to receive a debit card at a participating branch without waiting for it to arrive by mail.
Qualifying customers with an established WCB relationship may be eligible for Instant Issue. This may include an existing customer opening a new eligible account and receiving that account’s first debit card. Eligibility depends on the account and card type, successful identity verification and card availability.
No. Customers establishing their first relationship with WCB will receive their initial debit card through WCB’s standard mailed-card process.
There is no card-issuance fee for the first debit card issued when an eligible existing WCB customer opens a new eligible account. Instant Issue replacement cards are subject to a $10 fee plus applicable tax. A banker will confirm any applicable fee before issuing the card.
Yes. The cardholder must appear in person and complete WCB’s identity-verification requirements before a card can be issued. Please bring a valid form of identification.
 
 
 
 
Instant Issue is not currently available at every branch. If your local branch does not offer it, we may be able to arrange for your card to be printed at another WCB location for pickup or sent to your local branch. Contact us at 800-922-9028 to discuss the options available to you.
In many cases, yes. Same-day issuance depends on card eligibility, successful identity verification and card-printing availability. If your card cannot be printed during your visit, a banker will explain the available delivery or pickup options.
